Terms of Service
Clearday — last updated 22 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the Clearday mobile application and its supporting service, operated by Edworthy Media and Technology Limited ("we", "us"). By using Clearday you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Clearday displays your availability across Google and Microsoft calendar accounts you choose to connect, lets you create events, and can optionally mirror events between your own connected calendars. The service depends on Google's and Microsoft's calendar APIs; features may be limited or unavailable if those services change or are unavailable.
2. Your account and calendars
- You may only connect calendar accounts that you own or are authorised to use.
- You are responsible for the security of your device and of your Google/Microsoft accounts.
- You can disconnect any calendar at any time in the app, which removes our access to it.
3. Calendar sync
- Sync is off by default. If you enable it, you instruct Clearday to create, update, and delete mirrored copies of events in your own connected calendars within a rolling time window.
- Mirrored copies are ordinary calendar events in your accounts. You may edit or delete them, but sync may recreate or re-align them while it remains enabled.
- You are responsible for choosing an appropriate sync level ("busy times only" vs "full details") for calendars that other people can see, such as a work calendar.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to access other users' data, probing or disrupting the service, reverse engineering it other than as permitted by law, or using it in violation of Google's or Microsoft's terms.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle. In short: we store calendar connection tokens and your sync preference, and we do not store your calendar events.
6. Availability and changes
Clearday is provided free of charge. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or any feature at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes through the app.
7. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that your availability view is complete or accurate, that sync will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that events will never be duplicated or missed. Do not rely on Clearday as your sole record of important appointments.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Termination
You may stop using Clearday at any time; disconnecting your calendars removes our access and deletes stored connection data. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
